Ecological machine for weed containment with hot foam SCHIUMONE
This machine won the Emilia Romagna responsible innovators award in the Circular Economy section. The Schiumone, through a series of parameters set by the operator, produces, thanks to the elaboration of these parameters through a proprietary software, a hot foam which is distributed in the under row of the screw by the operating machine. This hot foam, which can reach 90 degrees, creates a container of heat which, in a few seconds, is able to denature the proteins of the herb. By denaturing the proteins, the plant is no longer able to photosynthesis and dries slowly in a natural way. This revolutionary system, covered by a patent, will make it possible to replace the current treatment used for the management of weeds with glyphosate, a product classified as carcinogenic and which the European Union has decided to ban in the coming years.
